Freestyle Pull-Up Competition Lights Up The Bronx

Between Buggy Rollin and Junkyard Cyclocross, you may think that you’ve seen all of the creative and outlandish sports created in the last 10 years. You haven’t until you’ve seen a freestyle pull-up competition; More specifically, if you’ve not seen a tournament thrown by B-xtreme / N.B.X.A. This crew of people have held two freestyle pull-up tournaments so far and I suspect that there will be many more popping up across the country. Get ready to be wowed by guys that have more core and upper body strength than we ever will.
Here’s how it works. A person gets a set amount of time to show off all of their freestyle pull-up chops. Style and form are all that matters in this sort of competition. They can do wide grip, narrow grip, overhand or underhand. Everything else is up to the competitor.
The major players in this years competition in The Bronx were: The Technician, Big Rebel, G.I. Joe, Omar, Bigz, The Bar Extrodinaire and many more from the B-xtreme and Highlanda crews.

@PHORM Thanks for the additional info. It’s good to know how everything breaks down. We took a look at LEB’s workout on your channel and couldn’t believe it. Will you ever post videos telling beginners how to work their way up to where you and the rest of the teams are?

@HIT I can’t even imagine how steamy it gets there in the summertime. We, on the other hand, are getting pounded by the storm of the California’s history right now. They expect windes at the top of the Sierra mountain peaks to reach gusts of 100-200 mph. Whoa!
